East Side Garden Walk 2021

  • East Clinton library East Side Buffalo, ny (map)

Pick-up sites for maps: The downtown public libraries: Central, Crane, Dudley, East Clinton, Leroy R. Coles, Jr., Frank E. Merriweather Jr., Niagara, North Park, and Riverside.

Donation Tour is free and self-guided. This Walk reflects the strong community that has helped the East Side survive in spite of major population shifts over the decades. Now in its third year, the ESGW encompasses the entire East Side. We added 20 gardens in 2019, and 2021 promises even more, giving visitors more than 60 gardens to choose from.

Special features Gardening on Buffalo’s East Side has a unique ambiance often with an organic, natural look that reflects the lifestyle of many of its residents. There’s a wide range of gardens. Sure, if you’re looking for flowers, you’ll find lots of those. But we also have City Honor’s largest outdoor classroom garden, urban farms that support local families, and a Buddhist Center Garden with a three-story statue sent from Viet Nam. What makes them all special is the gardeners. Take time to talk with them.
