Back by popular demand! The VIP Open Gardens Bus Tour returns on Friday, July 31, 2026 with a special evening edition. Enjoy a guided tour of six beautiful Northtowns gardens illuminated at night, plus a stop at a local all-native-plant garden nursery. Snacks and drinks will be provided along the way. You’ll leave with a little garden swag.
The tour begins at 5:00 PM at Chandler Street Breweries and returns at 10:00 PM.

With this background, Pieter is able to provide advice ranging from basic plant knowledge more extensive growing and technical issues. In his free time, he enjoys riding his bike and supporting the Columbus Crew soccer team.

Special Features Visit the ‘Heart of the Niagara’ and our Grand Island gardens with their unique styles, themes, and plants. Stop at a variety of gardens, some featuring native plants, and visit the Nature Center at the historic Alt farm. While you are here, visit the eight-mile-long scenic walk/bike trail along the West River and have a picnic at Beaver Island State Park. Grand Island’s gardeners welcome you.

We have participants from the village of Springville and several in close proximity to the village. The gardens include interesting features such as water gardens and fish ponds, beautiful container gardens, and well planned garden spaces, one of which is a “food forest “including pawpaw trees. Several are on historical properties with perennial, rose and herb gardens. Be sure to visit the Art’s Cafe and their Roof Top Garden which not only cools the building but also provides organics for the cafe and a unique view of downtown. Check out the several manicured and creative vegetable gardens. Visit our major sponsor, Chevalier outdoor living, with their growing collection of unique trees, raised beds and hidden garden art. Treat yourself to a taste of their brick oven pizza served from Noon to 3 PM. Most gardens are handicapped accessible and all gardens close at 4 PM. You won’t be disappointed.
The Garden Art Sale is your chance to add something truly special to your garden. Browse more than 70 vendors offering one-of-a-kind, handcrafted treasures—from sculptures and ceramics to paintings, planters, woodwork, and whimsical garden art.
