Artists in Gardens Returns—Now Expanded Across the Region

Buffalo, NY - Gardens Buffalo Niagara is thrilled to expand the popular Artists in Gardens to all seven Gardens Buffalo Niagara events this summer. What began as a small pilot during the Tour of Open Gardens has blossomed into a regional celebration of creativity, connecting artists with the natural beauty of gardens throughout Western New York.

This summer, 25 visual and performing artists will create in gardens spanning urban neighborhoods, suburban communities, and rural towns; including Buffalo, West Seneca, Hamburg, Williamsville, East Aurora, and Alden.

Where the art of gardening meets the talent of local artists, Artists in Gardens transforms already beautiful spaces into immersive cultural experiences. Visitors will engage with artists  painting, drawing, using mixed media, making music, and more! All brought to life in real time by local artists working on-site.

All participating gardens—whether in the city, suburbs, or countryside—share a commitment to hospitality and community spirit. The program invites not only garden lovers, but the entire community including the families, friends, and fans of participating artists, to create  new audiences and expand access to both art and gardening.

The artists have been carefully selected not only for their talents but also for their eagerness to connect with visitors and engage with the audience. This program fosters an environment of inclusivity and encourages artists to invite their families, friends, and fans to join them, thereby introducing new audiences to the delights of the region's gardens.

Funding is made possible through Arts Services Inc.’s Creative Impact Fund thanks to a New York State Senate Initiative supported by the NYS Legislature and the Office of the Governor, and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts.
